Secure offsite storage is provided at two hardened data centers for redundancy. The two separate data centers are located in Phoenix and Baltimore. There is constant connectivity offered by multiple providers with

automatic failover capabilities. The facilities have two fiber optic network drops and automatic backup power

provided by onsite generators.

 

Security

 

Your data is encrypted before it leaves your servers. Only I.T. Solutions will have possession of the encryption key. The data is then encrypted again for its transit over the Internet. Files are then stored, in encrypted form, on multiple servers in high security facilities. Each location is equipped with security cameras, key card and biometric access, fire suppression and environmental controls. High-end redundant, automatic failover firewalls are also in place for heightened security. Each file is encrypted using 256-bit AES (government level) encryption technology. 256-bit AES Encrypted data cannot be read without the corresponding keys, so encrypted data cannot be misused, even if it is stolen. In addition, I.T. Solutions software communicates with the remote servers using Secure Socket Layer technology. As a result, the online backup of data is encrypted twice.

 

Backup Frequency

 

Your data is backed up as frequently as every 15 minutes, everyday. This provides hundreds of additional backup copies allowing multiple restore points to recover your data. The daily offsite backup is a current image backup, which overwrites pervious data with the most recent backup. We offer the option of archive backup offsite at an additional cost to satisfy industry regulatory retention compliance. The data being backed up is tested and verified daily to ensure integrity.

 

Data Transportation

 

Rate adaptive bandwidth throttling allows you to send large files over the internet without affecting in/outbound data rates. We pick up the transmission from the last successful packet sent. The speed in which the backups occur is extremely fast because it is block level, not file level. Once the initial backup is captured our incremental takes seconds to complete.

 

24/7 Monitoring & Management

 

I.T. BACKUP SAFE is monitored and managed by I.T. Solutions around the clock. I.T. Solutions has an extensive module dedicated to track and report failed and completed backups. We are able to produce reports on restorations as well.

 

Recovery Time Objective

 

I.T. BACKUP SAFE reduces downtime from weeks to hours. I.T. Solutions will attempt access, backup, or retrieval problems remotely. We can restore a file, folder, email, SQL tables and database, or an entire mailbox as needed. In the event of a disaster, a new I.T. BACKUP SAFE imaged with the most current backup information will be sent via next-business day shipping to a location of your choice. It will have your data fully restored and will function as an exact replica of your previous server. You are able to run your operation from anywhere in the world just as you would from your office with your operating system, programs, data, and files.
