What I.T. tool can you not do without? We cannot live with our ConnectWise PSA software. We track every aspect of our client support and interactions with this software. I’m a firm believer that if it’s not in ConnectWise, it didn’t happen.

Jason Pizzo earned much of his IT expertise as a network switching systems operator in the U.S. Army’s XVIII Airborne Corps 35th Signal Brigade. He also discovered the importance of “engagement and fluidity.”

Because his organization is called to deliver reliable IT support and outcomes, he needs a broader perspective than a traditional CIO might. As his clients’ “virtual CIO,” he must engage regularly and deeply within their business environments and their industries.

Fluidity helps ensure any strategic IT blueprint he creates is right for the specific organization.

Surrounded by team members who are “outstanding, committed and uber-organized,” Pizzo’s firm is current on the latest technology, fully connected with its managed clients, and able to match “engineers with clients in creative and effective ways,” he said.

“We all share the awareness that technology means nothing unless it enables business to do more, earn more and run more efficiently,” he said.

How has I.T. Solutions gotten where it is? Pizzo never gets “lost in the boardroom or, worse, in the data,” he said.

While he performs a critical strategic function, he remains connected on the tactical side. Second, he surrounds himself with that team, and respects them enough to let them execute. Finally, he doesn’t talk down to stakeholders, like a client CEO or board members.
